Form as a Temporary Ilusion

Spirit shares His understanding of timeless wisdom with me.

He suggests that I let Life lead me where it wills to.
To resists is wasting my precious time, or at least my
temporary share of Cosmic energy.

We are each alone together on a journey of discovery.
Life is a treasure chest that has somehow dumped itself,
and scattered its precious contents of adventures and,
at times, even hidden them, but not without leaving
subtle clues, or not so subtle hints at where and how
to find what’s meant for each of us, alone to find;
our inner self, the perfect complement to what we now
seem to believe we are.

How would I recognize this inner me?

It will be as if looking into a magic mirror that
reflects only your essence, without form. The essence
is real and timeless; the form is no more than
a temporary illusion.

Awareness, Courage, and Faith in Self

Spirit tells me that we each know what we know,
even though what we know may not be so.

How can we ever really know anything?

Experience helps.

But, we can’t possibly experience everything.

That isn’t necessary.

Then, what is?

Awareness.

Of what?

Of what we are experiencing, when we are.

How can we not be aware?

We are always aware of what we are experiencing,
at least to some extent.

Then, to develop a deeper awareness?

Yes, and an ever-more expanded experience
of awareness.

So, awareness itself is an experience.

Yes. Awareness must necessarily be experienced.

How to experience awareness?

Of what?

Of awareness.

Meditation and quiet reflection.

Perhaps some of us do all that now, and do
experience awareness of being aware of the
complexity of our personal and social existence,
but are unable to do anything about them.

In what way?

To change them.

Awareness is not designed to change anything.

Then, what is?

Courage, and faith in self.

Awareness is not an End in Itself

Spirit tells me, as if to console my aching heart,
that letting go was never easy
for anyone who ever felt they needed to be
connected to whatever or whomever, until
there didn’t seem to be an acceptable alternative.

The interconnecting energy relaxes on its own,
or will if we will let it.

It didn’t seem to need permission.

We need to learn to allow ourselves to feel
connected as long as it seems to make sense
to be so, and then, the bonds of relationship
relax, gently or otherwise, to facilitate
adaptation to newly developed awareness.

Close relationships will always be close,
unless …

Unless what?

Unless they seem …

To become more or less close?

Yes. Are you aware that you are aware of
a change in certain relationships?

Yes, and yet not as an observer of
outside events.

Yes. We can become increasing aware of
our inner feelings and rationalize
about them without denying them.

Yes, and self-awareness seems to be
non-judgmental.

Yes. It accepts that what is, is,
for whatever reason.

So, where do we go from here?

From where?

From accepting that we feel whatever
strength of whatever emotion about
whatever situation or relationship.

Then it’s time to think and rationalize
about where to go from here.

Feeling has served its purpose?

Yes. Now it’s time to choose
how to act on our awareness.

Then, awareness is not an end it itself?

Never. The price of awareness is responsibility
for whatever response we choose in whatever
situation.

The non-dual nature of reality

Spirit shares gems of wisdom.

Spirit tells me that serving life is not an option and that
we each and every one do serve; some more, some less.

Whether we know it or not?

At some level of awareness, we know it. But, we may be
too grounded in physical and material illusion
to consciously consider, or very much care about,
our degree of impact on those with whom we share
our environment, or, possibly, the environment itself.

Many of us fail to see that we may be part of
the environment, from the perspective of some others,
if they are even aware enough to notice us at all.

What about personal relationships?

What about them?

Are they no more or less than a part of our awareness?

Outside of oneself?

Yes.

No.

I hesitate to ask about what seems to be suggested.

The non-dual nature of reality?

Yes.

Why hesitate?

I’m not ready to deal with it.

Yes.

To serve Life and self as one

Spirit tells me that I can only serve Life by serving myself, and

I can only serve myself by serving Life. It’s as simple as that.

How can I know when and if I am serving myself or Life?

It’s one and the same.

And if I’m helping a neighbour?

Your neighbour is Life.

But, there are some neighbours I would rather not serve at all.

What then?

Then you have a problem.

Faith vs Ego as Illusion vs Illusion?

Spirit tells me that His name is Fellop, which, He explains, is not an

Exclusive and personal name, as that would suggest a false sense of

Self, such as some materialized beings seem to need to cling to.

Fellop is an abbreviation of Fellowship, which is a group of

Dedicated teachers who, because we are composed of

Less-dense matter than physical people, these seem to

Refer to us as spirits, invisibles, ghosts, imaginary, etc.

Our purpose is to help whomever we can to co-create a healthier,

More enjoyable, and more meaningful life.

It all sounds so noble that I am annoyed at myself for questioning

Why Spirit is sharing this information with me. My response

Seems so inappropriate and disrespectful.

He reads my mind but neither approves nor disapproves of

My thoughts. It doesn’t seem to concern Him at all.

You have a personal problem, He tells me; a conflict between

Faith and Doubt, when each is an illusion.

We are variations of a basic recipe

Spirit tells me that my ego is my sense of self. This allows me

To see myself as the centre of my personal universe,

Even knowing that,

At the same time, ten thousand times ten thousand others

Are also seeing themselves as the centre of their

Personal universe.

This perspective is a special gift, He tells me.

It provides harmony and purpose.

How?

When each of us looks out onto everyone and everything. else,

We necessarily compare, not ourselves to others, for we do not

Know ourselves directly.

But, when we look out onto diversity we become aware of

What perspectives or attitudes we are more attracted to,

And these express our own, at any particular time..

Awareness of this reality allows us to understand that

We are as cookies.

As cookies?

Yes. Cookies come in a great variety of shapes and tastes, but

They are all made from a more or less basic recipe of

Cookie dough.
