Subconscious vs unconscious – Freud and Jung used differerent terms. Same meaning?
Sub sugests beneath, as a submarine sails beneath the surface, and an iceberg exposes only a small portion of its massive size above the surface of the water.
All the rest is beneath (sub) the surface.
Jung used the term unconscious to express that same area of mind that Freud was referring to, the area of which we are not conscious of.
Jung may have simply wanted to use a different term, or he might have felt that “un” expanded that area of mind of which we’re not consciously aware of.
Un can be as “everything else.”

Some schools of modern psychology teach us that there is a collective unconscious that our individual unconscious minds (or the area of our individual mind that is beyond consciousness) is only part of a greater collective unconscious mind.

Could it be what truth really is?
We seem to be able to recognize the truth when we suddenly become awae of it.
And yet, most of us may never become aware of it.

It’s never enough to be able to say that I’m here, now.
What does it mean?
It could be anywhere and at any time.
When navigating at sea, we’re moving, if we are, in some direction.
North, East, South, or West, or somewhere in between any of those directions.
We’re never moving North?south.
It’s North/East or North/West, or North by Norht/West, which means more North than West.
West by South/West is more West than South.
How is now and here, or then and there, any different, except that one set relates to space while the other set relates to time.
We’re moving through time and space.
North and South are as Here and There.
There can be anywhere that isn’t Here.
So it is with Now. It isn’t Then.

Except for a little while, we are not the characters we play on the stage of Life.
A great actor can play a lesser role, and yet it isn’t the same in reverse.
A lesser actor can never play a great role.
A tragically disabled person may be a great soul who hopes to help us to develop compassion.
A tycoon or self-centered leader may be playing a role to help us members of the audience personal faults.
Actually, how can we identify with the characters in a book, or a play, or a movie if we’re not aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the character?
Authors must have developed a sense of individuality within a collective of other individuals in order to be able to write a sotry that others can recognize as possible.
It doesn’t have to tell the truth, and yet it hints at it.
Actors don’t usually write the roles thay play, but they usually are chosen to play those roles because of their potential to express the character they play, in a convincing way, as if the actor and the character were the same person.
Do actors learn from the characters they play?
Do we learn from the lives we live?
Similar experiences happen to many people, and yet we don’t all respond the same.
Why?
Perhaps the future of psychology, or at least psychotherapy, is to help individuals develop a deeper understganding of the role they are playing in life, whatever that role seems to be.
We have limited power to adapt the roles we play, and we choose to use that power, or not to.

Is it true?
There’s nothing new under the sun?
There are a finite number of human sounds, and so every possible hu;man language contains sounds that ny othe human language has available to it.
And yet, some human languages have sounds that some other human languages do not.

Are there only so many possible experiences to choose from?
Are some of us more likely to be attracted to, or seemingly destined to experience some more than some others?

Religion does.
We can create Heaven on Earth by each of us becoming the best version of ourself that we can.
If what we each do makes us feel satisfied with our own life and it’s affect on some others, then thre is no place for surrender, or even forgiveness, for we can learn to accept that perhaps everyone else is possibly also doing the best that they can, all things considered.

Love and compassion are as icing on the cake or gravy on the dinner – not a substitute.
You don’t have to roll up your sleeves or put out a lot of physical energy and intention to feel love and compassion.
It doesn’t take a lot of skill, just a gentle heart.

Chop wood, carry water, and other work that might require skills to be developmed.
It’s time to move beyond New Age thinking of Love and Now, without leaving them behind, as if we could.

There is no “My way” except from a personal perspective.
Ways are patterns.
We see flocks of birds moving in the sky.
They seem to be moving in a wave, or formation.
And yet, each of the birds flying in formation maty be totally unaware of being no more nor less than moving as part of a pattern.
Their individual vision is necessarily limited to how they fit with those close to them.
So it is with most of us human beings.
We’re not aware with how we fit within a wider formation of thoughts and emotions.
We’re focused on physical surroundings, and the thoughts and emotions of those close to us, and not on the general patterns that certain formations of thoughts and emotions can express themselves in human form(s).

Thoughts and emotions, like you and me, belong to themselves, more or less.
I used to think that I had thoughts and emotions, but now I can accept that anyone else can have the same thoughts and emotions.
That would suggest that they are more like snowflakes, although even snowflakes are one of a kind, or so I’m told.
Back to thoughts and emotions. Spirit tells me, and it seems to make sense, at least to me, that we’re attracted more to certain qualities of thought and emotions, and they are attracted to us, at different times, just as we’re attracted to different people at different times, and they are attracted to us at different times and under different situations.
It does keep life from getting too stagnant, eh?
Thoughts and emotions may just be doing their thing, moving in different formations, as clouds, and then mutual attraction pulls them into our life, or at least mutual attraction of some intensity or quality of thought or emotion is attracted to us, for whatever reason.
Happy people don’t attract sad thoughts as easily as do unhappy people.
It’s the same with viruses.
They’re attracted more to unhealthy people than to healthy people.
Why?
Less resistance.
Do we attract certain thoughts and emotions just by being the way we are?

Consciousness must necessarily come before awareness.
Is it possible that something comes even before consciousness?
Potentiality?
After all, if we haven’t the potential to be conscious, then we wouldn’t be able to be aware.

What comes before potenjtial?
Or, is potential a quality of consciousness?
As a variable?
More or less potential to be more or less conscious?

I dream a lot, or do a lot of dreams come to me because I’m a slow learner?

If we are moving into the age of Aquarius, and the energies of that coming age are even now moving into us, then perhaps we need to become aware that the world is not as it might once have been, and the time has come to speak in simple anc lear language that may have had no place in yesterday’s world.
Case in point – Aquarius is known as the Water Bearer., and yet, most of us do not carry water as it once was carried – in urns.
How do we do it now?
Bottles of diverrse sizes and materials, but mostly via taps and hoses.
Now, I ask you, is it possible that Aquarius will come, is coming to us, and after us, with a power hose, to help us clean up our act?
I seem to feel the vibration of that energy, even now.
