An end without a finish line

Spirit tells me that my body and the personality, or character,

That I have, with help, developed over a lifetime is not real

In any real sense, but just a means to an end.

If that is so then how would I recognize the finish line,

Should I ever get there?

An end does not necessarily mean a finish line.

Then what?

A purpose.

What purpose?

Awareness.

Of what?

Purpose.

Awareness is knowing instinctively

Spirit tells me that awareness is knowing instinctively that

Everyone and everything, at any given time, conceals

Meaning beyond what they would seem to reveal.

A certain imbalance of energy exchange reveals intent

To masquerade as other than what they would have us

Believe, if we were not aware enough to notice the deceit.

Teacher, why are you telling me this, now?

Now is a good time, if any is.

To be aware of potential danger even when no real danger

Seems evident, is not necessarily phobic. Trust your instinct.

Relationships as learning experiences

Spirit tells me that every relationship is a learning experience

In which each participant is both teaching and learning from

The relationship itself and from every participant, inclding

Oneself.

Deep or shallow? How far do we dare to go? To see deeply

Is to go deeply into the possible motives and intentions of

The other, or others, and to consider whether they are

Different from or similar to our own.

How far will each relationship take us if we allow, or invite it?

How will we change and how will the other, or others change?

And is it worth the effort, or risk?

All relationships either stimulate or drain our energy,

As well as affecting other resources, precious or otherwise.

Teacher, has our relationship been a learning experience for you?

Yes, it has taught me patience.

The Universe lives in us

Spirit tells me that we not only live in the universe; the Universe

Also lives in us. The same life energies that flow within form also

Flow within essence, which is spirit, and this shared, moving energy

Harmonizes form and essence, more or less.

Why more or less?

There cannot be flow if there is stagnation.

Must my mind or body always be more or less agitated

For life energy to flow within me?

There are other terms to describe the process.

Such as?

Discontent, inspired, weary, fearful, compassionate –

The list goes on.

We are what we seem to be

Spirit tells me that we each seem to need to be, or

To pretend to be, what we need to be.

And, we each seem to need to become something other than

What we are, now, or something that we do not yet believe

We are, but desire to become.

If we would allow ourselves to relax and let go of our tight hold on

Needing to be what we are not, and allow ourselves to become

What it is we believe we are destined to become, then we might

Discover; then we would discover that we are now what we seem

To be and that it feels comfortable just being what we are, if

We like what we seem to be.

It sounds confusing to me.

Awareness isn’t designed to be Appealing

Spirit tells me that living a spiritual life in the so-called real world

Is the same as living a not-so-spiritual life except for awareness of

Choosing how I live the way I do, and how my way of living

Affects my personal health and happiness, and also that of

Everyone else.

That’s pretty heavy stuff.

What is pretty heavy stuff?

Laying a guilt trip on me by suggesting …

I’m not suggesting. Everything we do affects everyone and

Everything else.

If I am more responsible for others than they are for me,

Just because I’m aware of my responsibility and they may

Not be, then how appealing can awareness be?

Awareness isn’t designed to be appealing.

We need to wallow in self-pity

Spirit tells me that none of my many (too many to count)

Closed doors of relationships that once seemed destined

To last forever, ever existed to close.

How then can I tell illusion from reality?

They are one and the same.

But, I have cried rivers of tears.

Where are they now?

I don’t know.

They’ve been recycled for others to shed.

What purpose did they serve me?

You needed to wallow in self-pity to ease the pain of

Losing another illusion.

Accept as so what seems so

Spirit tells me that to accept people, situations, and relationships

As they are is not possible without first knowing what they are,

And that it may not be possible to know more than what

They seem to be.

Perhaps the answer is to accept what seems to be.

To whom?

To each individual.

Let’s bring it closer to home.

How?

Tell me that you will try to accept what seems to be, until it seems

To be other than it seems to be, now.

If there is no general consensus on how things are, then how

Can we relate to people with different understandings of

What seems to be?

Dialogue offers an opportunity share our personal understanding

And to learn how others view the same situation.

Others may see something that we do not, and we might share

Something that others have missed.

Of course, even dialogue may still result in our view being

Dismissed by the other, or we may dismiss the other views.

In which case…?

Then we see Life as we see it and let others see it their way.

Case closed?

Case closed.

Tarot as a Sacred Science

Spirit tells me that Tarot cards were designed to preserve

Deep understanding of human nature. Many ancient traditions

And mystery schools have been destroyed in the

Name of progress, and replaced with teachings that deny

An essential oneness beneath a surface of diversity.

There is no magic involved or required in the study of Tarot images.

Instead, what is required is deep respect for and serious intent

To study the specific images that the reader’s or client’s personal

Energy has attracted, at a particular time.

The image on the chosen card brings a hidden message.

Why hidden?

To protect its high value. Anything easily available is vulnerable

To being seen as of little worth.

At first glance, Tarot images seem to describe general aspects of

The human psyche, or an easily understood situation. But, how

The images are interpreted or ‘seen’ makes all the difference.

Each reader or client’s vibrational energy interacts with the images

To co-create a message. Something is understood concerning

The problem within the mind of the seeker.

In this respect, Tarot can be seen to be much like meditation, and

Only another path to the same Universal source of wisdom.

A renewed interest in Tarot?

Yes. Why not?
