Confidence As A Trap

Spirit asks me what it means to be intelligent.

To be able to think.

What does it mean to be able to think?

About what?

About anything.

To think is to become aware of what is happening
in and around me.

No.

How can I become aware without first thinking?

How can you think without first becoming aware?

Then, thinking is to intentionally focus on
whatever I become aware of?

For what purpose?

To understand.

To understand what?

Why it is the way it seems to be,

Why?

To satisfy my curiosity.

And?

To consider how to respond to this new
awareness.

Yes.

But …

But what?

If I have developed a response that has become
a habit, how would thinking be involved?

It would not be.

Thinking would be bypassed?

Yes.

Then, I would become as the scientist’s dog?

Yes.

Expecting results that may not happen?

Yes.

So, what is the answer?

To what?

How is it possible or even desirable to use
precious time considering results other than
what we have become confident of, if those
results are all that we are familiar with?

How to consider the unexpected?

Yes.

Confidence can become as a trap.

The wild card?

Yes.
To understand what?

Intentionally or Otherwise

My spirit teacher tells me that we are whom we are,
intentionally or otherwise, and that we each share
with the world we live in and are a part of
the essence of our life.

A rose is a rose even when it has been planted
among vegetables, and a sheep grazing with cattle
is still a sheep.

But, He tells me, a rose growing among vegetables
has an opportunity to become aware of being
different from her or his neighbours, as does
a single sheep among cattle, in a way
that would not have been possible if they each
had been surrounded only by their own kind.

Is this about individuality?

In what way?

Awareness of our uniqueness.

Yes and no.

Please explain.

What?

No. Why?

Why what?

Please explain why awareness of being different
from those around us is not about uniqueness.

Each of the cattle and vegetable plants
are also unique in some way.

But, not nearly to the extent that a different
animal or plant would feel.

Were we talking about feeling unique
or being unique?

How is one possible without the other?

Awareness or lack of.

How can awareness change reality?

Awareness is reality.

Different rules for the game of Life

Spirit tells me that we each play the Game of Life by a unique set of

Rules that favours ourselves  more than anyone else.

Intentionally?

Intentionally what? To play our way? or to play to win?

How can we play Life with someone else’s rules?

We each play by the same rules.

How can the rules be unique and the same?

Because we see them that way?

How else could we play?

With awareness.

Awareness of what?

Life.

How can we learn to be more aware of Life?

By living.

We do.

Yes.
