My strengths and weaknesses
are one and the same.
Stability and flexibility
Each can serve us in
Different ways in
Different situations,
At different times.

Apples are apples, whatever colour
Spirit tells me that
Apples are apples
Whatever colour
They may be, and,
If a few yellow apples are
Accepted into a collection of
Green or red apples, then
Their colour is not changed by
Their acceptance into
The group.
Yellow is yellow,
Green is green,
Red is red, and,
Yes, apples are apples.
They can, if they will to,
Harmonize with each other
Without losing
Their unique essence.
Free will is not unlimited
Spirit tells me that
Free will is not unlimited.
As a Universal Law, it must
operate within the limits of
The possible.
We are not free to do
What we cannot do,
For whatever reason,
At least until
We learn how.
Emotion controls memories
Spirit tells me that
Memory is, at least in part
An experiential data bank
And that we keep therein
All memories
We are not yet ready
To let go of, and that
It is the emotional quality
Of memories that
Hold them in our mind.
Each in our own way
Spirit tells me that we each develop awareness
In our own way and in our own time.
There is no reward for those who
Finish first, for nobody ever finishes.
Thee is no end to what
What we can learn if
We want to.
We each satisfy our individual need
To learn whatever, according to
Personal interests,
At any given time.
Complexity within simplicity or
Spirit asks me to consider whether
Life is complexity within simplicity, or
Simplicity within complexity.
Then, almost before I can begin
To try to determine which,
Or if neither description of
Life is applicable, He
Asks me to visualize
The intricate web of Life and,
To ask myself where I am
Within that web, or if I am
Separate from that web. Am I
Within or part of the web.
Again, without waiting for
My doomed to be inadequate
Response, He tells me that
We are separate, but,
Only for as long as
We believe we are.
Our essence is, was, and will be what it now is
Spirit tells me that
We are now what we have become and
We will be what we become, but
The energy that we now are
Was and always will be
The same energy.
Only the quality and strength
Of our energy transforms,
Transcends, if it does, and
it does, for nothing is
Constant. Life expands and
We each contribute to
That expansion, one way
Or another.
Things are not always as they may seem to be
Spirit tells me to tentatively accept what seems to be,
Even while wondering if it really is
As it seems to be, and,
When someone seems to present themselves
To you, in such a way that seems to ask you
To believe that they are as they
Present themselves to be.
When your intuition suggests
That a false image
is being presented,
Trust your intuition.
The presentation and the energy
Vibrating from it will harmonize
If things are as they seam to be.
When we love what we are doing
Spirit tells me that
When we are doing what we love and
Love what we are doing, then
There is a two-way flow
Of energy, loving energy, because
Satisfaction flows back.
The financial bottom line is,
For so many, the only
Definition of success.
Spirit tells me that
Everyone experiences suffering
Of one kind or another, and
We all struggle with situations
That are, or seem to be,
Totally beyond our control, but,
How we respond to difficult people,
Or situations, makes a difference
In how they affect us,
Long term.
Personality is not Physical
Spirit tells me that a person, any person
can be described according to
physical features, but, that
personality cannot be
so described.
Personality is a dynamic interaction of
intellect and emotion, fluctuating in
variable quantities and strengths of
particular qualities in, or during,
different situations, and
personality is a blend of
more or less consistent
thought, emotional, and
behavioral patterns.
But, Spirit tells me,
an individual’s behaviour can
reflect thoughts and emotions, or
it can be used as a mask,
to protect or hide them,
not necessarily for the purpose of
deceit, but to separate
shared and private worlds.
We choose what we care to share.
