Together we stand, until … When does a collective of specifics become a a specific …?

Today is Canada Day, and being a dedicated Canadian, my little patio lets the world (or at least anyone passing by) know that I’m celebrating being a specific of a particular collective.

And yet, all over the world there may be billions of little people like me doing the same thing, without even knowing (or perhaps even very much caring) that we’re each and all a human within humanity.

How to retain our individual identity as a “ME” and still be part of a “WE”?

Does the problem start with any one-to-one relationship?

Is it a problem of exclusiveness vs inclusiveness?

How to solve it in the best interest of all concerned?

Are wars no more than a frustrated outcome of a failed attempt at togetherness?

Or is it necessarily always a power play?

Unless we choose and are able to develop will power to control the emotions that would possess us, if they could.

Is possession too strong a term to describe emotions?

Some people seem to have a potential to feel qualities and strengths of .emotion that some others are not able to feel.

I have a neighbour who, now and then, seems to spiral downward into a dark area of mind.

She can become destructive and dangerous.

And yet, at other times, and fortunately most of the time, she’s harmless.

What makes her descent into darkness more dangerous is the high power of her personal energy.

We don’t all possess that high power that can lead us to positive or negative expression of what we physically do to the world around us.

Do our leaders necessarily possess that powerful personal energy?

If so, how to know how they would use great power?
