Rays of sunlight are as living streams of creative energy.
Count them, if you can.
Can you imagine each of us humans as being one of those streams of living, creative, loving, and intelligent rays of light from an unknown and perhaps unknowable source?
Perhaps there are more than seven billion blends of creative, loving, and intelligent, more or less, unique human energy that we each express.

2. Spirit tells me that
We serve our leaders as well as we can, even knowing they’re not perfect, but …
There may never have been a perfect leader, one who was all things to all people.
Like us, they’re flawed.
Can we accept their flaws and still see that they may be the best of a less than perfect choice of options?
“A man sees what he wants to see, and disregards the rest.”
Who sang that song?
Millions seem to see something that you do not.
Which doesn’t deny the reality of what you see, but we each see from a different perspective, from our personal state of awareness.
We can’t make others see what we see, and those who share what they see with the largest group of seers get to choose who runs the store.
We might all blame our childhood, or that of some others, for how we choose to live as adults.
The reality may be that we were born with a unique personality that social conditioning may cover up, but what is always within us will come through, if only now and then, until we intentionally seek to discover our more-or-less original nature, if we choose to take the path of individuation from the masses.
What Jung didn’t seem to be concerned with is the reality that our true nature may be severely flawed.
Not everyone will notice.
Why?
They may be as flawed in their thinking as the rest of us.
What hope for a just society?
It’s going to take time.
It takes money, a lot of money, to rise very far in our so-called democratic societies.
Perhaps we’re not as democratic as we might claim to be.
Advertising is expensive, and the media is controlled by a few who have a preference for whom they advertise.
Our choices are limited.
Real democracy is extremely limited.
It may necessarily be limited to our ability to live in a truly democratic community.
And, what would a truly democratic government look like?
Some ancient empires were (or considered themselves to be) democracies, and yet they waged war with every nation they could that resisted their control of world trade and power.
How far have we come in the last two thousand years?
Some might say, “We need well-balance humans who have a heart and mind.”
The good news is that we do have well-balanced humans who do have a heart and mind.
They’re just not as popular as those who express a drive to succeed at whatever it is that they choose to succeed at.
We admire that energy without being aware of the price that some others might pay for it.
Can we ever lose our soul?
It’s part of what we are and, possibly it’s our potential this time around.
We each may have a guiding energy who is working through us, to express itself in physical form, and to experience a particular human experience.
We might choose to play a villain, or a powerful leader, or possibly a savior, whether or not we have what it takes to really be successful in that role.
Planetary evil is being exposed and yet, only to those who have eyes to see it.
Planetary love is also evident to those who see it.
Hopefully, there are some who can see the worst and the best that humanity is capable of, and still have faith in the future psychological evolution of humanity.
Most of us can only see the surface of what we do see.
And words are limited in what they can convey of the insights of those who share deeper awareness with us.
We take their words at surface level.
What is referred to as dead may only seem to be dead.
We’re still alive when we’re sleeping, and yet …
We’re still living in the material world, even when seemingly lost in a dream.
“The living dead” can refer to people who don’t seem to be very aware of what’s going on around them.
And yet, they may each and all possess the potential to “wake up.”
How am I?
Perhaps as most.
Fine, and if I’m not, then I don’t know about it yet.
And what does fine mean?
Satisfied, more or less, with how Life is presenting itself.
As to vampires and other monsters, perhaps they warn us of possible degrees of exploitation.
“Buyer beware.” is a wise warning that can cover so much more potential life experience than shopping.
The good news is that we may all have to travel through the valley of The death of soul” to discover the ten thousand ways that we can misunderstand Timeless Wisdom.
Sooner or later, we each and all will develop deeper and more expanded awareness of why it was all necessary.
It’s only a matter of time and enough experience.
We may each and all, even now, be spiritual, more or less.
We simply need to develop more, and there may be nothing we can do to hurry the process more than to believe in ourselves as being basically spiritual in physical form.

And yet, perhaps it’s wiser to share it only with your soul.
Otherwise, you risk someone exploiting your moment of weakness.

Blue is blue and yellow is yellow, and yet, … individuality is not independence.
Most everyone can notice the difference between blue and yellow until they blend together into variable shades of green.
Do blue and yellow cocreate green?
Or, does green contain them both?
And is it the same with individuals and communities?

Understanding why doesn’t change anything, but it might help us begin.
Understanding why we are the way we are, or why we do what we do, doesn’t change the reality of anything, and yet, if we’re not satisfied … dissatisfaction itself might be the driving force of change.
And yet, change doesn’t necessarily result in improvement.
I may change my hair style without being satisfied with the result.

What’s in a name?
Energy and Matter vs Spirit and Matter – is energy intelligent?
What a scientist calls energy might be spirit to a believer in such.
If we’re spirit after we die, then perhaps we were spirit before we were born.
And, if we’re spirit before and after, then why not now, behind the scenes of a material experience?
That’s how I see it, for now.

9. Spirit tells me that
Consciousness expands into the unconscious, or does it dissolve into it?
And, do Ego and Self/Soul play the same game?
Is it a game, or just the way Life is?
Individuality and Community?
Male and Female?
What other so-called polarities merge their identity?
Day and Night?
It takes both the material and spiritual worlds to harmonize with each other in order for most of us to understand what it’s all about.
The good news is that we each and all contain (or are contained within) a blend of consciousness and unconsciousness, ego and self, male and female, and all the so-called polarities. We’re each somewhere, experiencing Life from a more or less unique perspective.
Psychology and spirituality are not necessarily at odds with each other, and perhaps are very much part of each other.
Psychology seeks to understand how and why individuals develop their more or less unique outlook on the worlds they live in.
Psychology is very much more grounded in physical reality than is spirituality, which is almost always in danger of losing itself in mist while seeking to understand the mystery of Life.
As for the content and functioning of the unconscious, for all we know the collective unconscious may be the sum total of all that the collective mind of humanity has ever known or achieved.
If that’s so, and it very well might be, then the personal unconscious would be all that the individual mind has ever known or achieved, perhaps from countless pervious lifetimes.
We read about the Akashic Records.
Their existence may be more real than myth.
A historical library of Life?
Who would want to know?
I seem to need to know as much as I can about what it’s all about, and why?
An inner voice tells me that I’m asking the wrong questions, and that I should be asking How?

We each must learn to follow a leader until we can learn to follow ourself.
We each must learn to follow before we can learn to lead.
Students learn to see the world through the eyes of their parents and teachers, until they can see directly what their parents and teachers see, or something else.

11. Spirit tells me that
Time moves on – to reshare a three year old photo of me holding up “Spirit teaches a simple seeker – The Art of Timeless Wisdom – Book Three.
How could I ever know that I would become an author to a series of little Spirit teaches a simple seeker” books?
It’s an awesome experience that I could never have dared to even imagine would fill my later years with such pleasure.
“The Art of Timeless Wisdom – Book Three” is one of a set of three little books that may have been meant only for me, as a personal learning experience.
Someday, when money becomes available, I hope to retitle them to express this possible reality, with “Becoming Me.”
They served me very well, to prepare me to share the first of a second series, titled “Letting Go.” Letting Go went to press (Balboa Press) just before the end of 2023, so that it would qualify for this year’s “Celebration of SFU Authors.”
Now, the second book of the second series is just about ready to share. “Spirit teaches a simple seeker – Boundaries – yours, mine, and ours”
It’s an incredible experience to be part of it all, whether or not they’re ever financially successful. I’m in it for the long haul, win, lose, or draw.
“Spirit teaches …” books, (soft cover and eBooks) ae available on Amazon, Balboa, and a few other places.
I’ll possibly be dead and gone before the world discovers them as a foundation for a new and simple philosophy of life that blends philosophy, psychology, science, religion, and spirituality into one.
They each teach the same timeless wisdom from a unique perspective.

A walk in the Park.
The path of expanded awareness is never a walk in the park.
Parks are usually maintained by experienced gardeners, for the purpose of providing visitors with a welcome respite from the realities of daily life.
And yet, our beautiful parks can help us recover from daily struggles.
How?
They offer an alternative view of Life.
We could never struggle for a brighter future if there wasn’t a grim reality to recover from.
Without witnessing and/or experiencing the devastation of war, what value would peace offer?

Law and order are basic needs of any society.
Love and duty take second place.
Without law and order to control us, we seem to slip into a situation of gang rule, with competing gangs fighting to become the source of law and order in their community or country.
And, when the gang leader does achieve legitimacy as ruler of whatever society, then the temptation is powerful to expand that control into the lands of neighbouring societies.
Is that where we are, today?
Do our most powerful leaders attempt to become world leaders?
Has it always been that way?
Is it human nature?

The video game called Humanity.
How real are our leaders, or any of the rest of us?
Welcome to the world of illusion, when toy characters believe they’re real people.
Artificial Intelligence has come a long way when the toys are lured into believing that they are creating toys that act real.
Are unseen forces playing with us, and with our leaders?
If so, does it matter who wins and who loses?
The winners today may be losers tomorrow.
If unseen forces are only playing with us, with no betting allowed on the outcome, then it’s all in the name of learning how to play the game, as well as they can.
And we may do the same by focusing on what we’re learning from playing the game than what is happening within the game.
Can we look at our personal life with that same outlook, beyond the day-to-day events?’

As with cookies, so with humans.
The basic recipe is the same – Head, heart, ego.

Who sang that song?
And, isn’t it curiously so?
Wherever you go, people look the same, more or less.
We talk in different languages, but we say the same words.
And they each and all express thoughts and emotions.
And we each do what we do, whether we’re told to or not.

16. Spirit tells me that
All trees reach toward Heaven, and yet, only because their roots reach toward Hell.
Jung used this idea to support his claim that he’d rather be whole than good.
Why did he not explain, or share, if he was aware, and he likely was, that the difference between those trees that reached higher did so because of their strength and flexibility, and more – they firmly held their ground without rigidity.
Willows bend to the wind, but Poplars resist the wind, and suffer for their inability to bend to it.
Nature can teach us so much about human nature. if we would only open our eyes and minds.

17. Spirit tells me that
Blowing in the wind – are we each and all as no more (nor less) than one of the ten …
Picture if you can, and care to, ten thousand or more leaves reaching out from twigs that are reaching out from branches that have spread out from the trunk of a tree that has grown out from roots that are firmly, or not so firmly, planted beneath the surface of the ground, in the darkness of a life that is beyond our view, but reaching down and out to absorb, as well as they can the moisture and nutrients that the soil provides them with, as well as it can.
We, as leaves, may be oblivious as to the source of our very being. and yet we each reach as far as our energy allows us to, while still restricted by the twig that holds us as firmly as it can.
We blow in the wind, but not by personal choice.
The wind blows us about, and we, as well as we’re able to, adapt to the forces of Nature, including rain.
What choices do we have?
Perhaps the greatest possible choice available is to choose to be aware of what’s happening to us, and through us.
We’re not bystanders.

Witness testimony may be necessarily flawed, and yet personal experience may be, too.
Any and all witnesses to whatever event must necessarily see from a unique perspective in time and space, including the mental space they’re in.
And yet, the same can be said about participants in any event.
How to learn what really happened, and how?
Asking why may be less helpful.
Why may invite a judgment call?

Advanced intelligence is not artificial.
It’s our future.
Blame the machine, not me.
Kids today are generally so much more advanced in technical skills and computer understanding than their grandparents are.
I needed to ask a fifteen year old kid how to get my new computer mouse to work.
“It’s easy, Grandma, just remove the USB from the battery compartment of the new mouse …”
“A USB in a mouse’s battery compartment?
I had never seen one there>
But, I followed his advice and, Lo and behold, in a tiny slot on the edge of where the battery fits in, and touching it with my fingers, I was able to slide out this tiny little chip.
“Okay, now what?”
“Install it into the back of your desktop computer.”
Amazingly, I found another so-called USB stuck into a tiny slot.
I took it out and replaced it with the new one, and WOW!
I’m back in the saddle again.
My computer began to work for me.
How blessed we are, or at least those who are, to have young people to teach us how to live in this new world that they are creating.

Struggles of life as exercise, and some pay big money to do it.
We face our inner demons alone, if not now then later.
But, sooner or later they must be faced, so why not now?
Only fear prevents us, and what is it that we fear?
Defeat, and lack of courage to dare to risk defeat, and lack of faith in our ability to deal with them.
But what if we knew that there was no battle waiting for us, and that our inner demons were on our side, and only testing our faith in ourselves?”
