Beauty and Pleasure express Spiritual Values

Spirit tells me to release my hold on the heavy but

Seductive energies of material values. For me, that

Position is neither desirable nor possible.

 

I tell Spirit that material comforts surely express

Spiritual values of beauty and pleasure, and that

Perhaps we each must find our own comfort zone

Where our own, individual spiritual and material

Values co-exist in harmony with each other,

Each expressing the other.

 

Yes, He agrees, as if He expected my response and

Intended to provoke it.

 

Perhaps, He suggests, I will learn to relax my hold

Without releasing it. Over-simplicity, for the sake of

Simplicity, He tells me, is a trap of false pride.

 

The middle way is a personal way and, as such is

A different path for every individual.

 

 

 

Intuitive Assessment has no Lasting Validity

Spirit tells me to trust my intuitive awareness of situations

As they happen, but, only as they happen, and to be aware that 

Awareness is a vibrational and moving energy. that has no

Necessary validity in past or future moments.

 

Awareness has no past or future; it encompasses what now is, what

Once was, and what will be, as it happens. However, our individual,

Limited awareness does not allow us to see beyond what it does,

Until we learn to expand the boundaries of our mind..

 

There is no mystery unless …

Spirit tells me that the so-called mystery of Tarot Cards

Exists only in the minds of those who seem to need to

Believe that there is a mystery.

 

Each card in the Tarot deck, He tells me, was designed

To express an element of human nature. Potential is

What it’s all about.

 

Any psychic worth his or her connection to advanced awareness

Can recognize this in the energy of the particular card drawn, and

In the energy of the particular person for whom the card is drawn.

 

They each express and confirm the other.

It’s as simple as that.

The River of Life and Meditation

A wise man once claimed that we cannot step into the same

River twice. Spirit tells me that the river referred to was Life, not

Water, alone. And, claims Spirit, the River of Life contains many

Undercurrents that we must step carefully through to reach safety.

 

The unavoidable undercurrents of emotion and thought are two

Potential dangers we each must learn to walk through while

Crossing the River of Life.

 

How?

 

Deep breathing and meditation can help us.

 

How?

 

Air is necessary to life but only if we breathe in and then out.

If we practice sitting quietly and breathing deeply, while we

Focus on a particular emotion that is troubling us, then

Step into that emotion by breathing it in, deeply, and then

Release it, again and again.

 

Both emotion and thought, claims Spirit, are life-giving energies.

But, as with all nutrients, there is a fine balance between

Beneficial (the Middle Way) and the self-destructive quantities of

Too little or too much. We each must learn to recognize our

Individual needs.

 

 

Spiritualism and Matrialism Co-exist

Spirit tells me that spiritual and material values co-exist.

And, in reality, neither can exist exclusive of the other.

They are as essence and form.

 

The concept of spiritual and material as being mutually

Exclusive is common in seekers of so-called enlightenment.

 

Rejection or fear of either one suggests lack of awareness

Of their interdependency. Living a spiritual life does not

Necessarily require one to reject physical or material comforts.

 

Creation and all the beauty within it is expressed in form.

We each possess creative energy. We each are creative

Energy. Some of us are inspired to create whatever with

A greater emphasis on beauty than on practical

Application, while others concentrate more on structure

Than on style.

 

The secret, He tells me, is to discover my own values.

 

As Essence is to Form

Spirit tells me that we are to each other as essence is to form, and

as such, we are each necessarily incomplete without the other.

 

Essence, He explains, can only express itself within the constraints

That form provides, or, as some seem to think, imposes.

 

Form contains and protects essence, providing a safe,

Though limited space within which it is free to express

Itself.

 

As your spirit teacher, I express my truth, which is my essence,

Through you, though not exclusively through you. But, an even

More highly developed energy may express His or Her essence

Through me.

 

Together we each and all contain and express one essence,

In our own way, which we have developed by blending

Together ideas and habits absorbed into our consciousness

From many sources.

 

In essence, He concludes, essence and form are one.

 

 

 

Creation as an Outcome

Spirit tells me that creation, all creation, is an outcome of three potentials;

Thought, feeling, and energy  – a cosmic trinity.

 

Nothing worthwhile, He tells me, is achieved or created without

Deep thought, passionate commitment, and energy, physical or

Otherwise.

 

Thought, feeling, and energy are blended together into the

Creative force of love. Love is, He seems to sigh, an often

Misunderstood emotion, when, in reality, it is as white light,

That can disperse itself into every possible hue or blend of

Colour.

 

If Life is a Story

Spirit tells me that if Life is a story, and, He seems to insist,

In many ways it is, then the pages of past experiences

That we call memories, are as earlier chapters in our

Personal Book of Life.

 

If so, I ask, without necessarily doubting my wise teacher,

Then why did the past not even seem to hint at my

Present life or provide even a misty vision of what

My future might possibly be?

 

Lack of awareness and narrow focus, He sighs, and then

Begins to improvise Pete Seeger, singing ‘When will they

Ever learn”, from “Where have all the flowers gone”.

Greater awareness contains the ego self.

Spirit tells me that whatever we are, were, or yet will be,

We are, were, and will always be whatever, with and

Within everything else that is.

 

Everything and everyone  is more than connected to everything else.

Everything and everyone is interconnected. We each are

Both a part of and part of it all.

 

Each piece in a puzzle has a unique shape, unless some other

Piece or pieces share that feature of its otherwise uniqueness.

However, no other piece fits with meaning into the same space

Within the puzzle..

 

There is a reason for each puzzle piece, and for

Each and every person to be exactly as and

Where we are. This reason goes far beyond

Individuality.

 

The relationship between each piece of a puzzle and

The puzzle itself, explains Spirit, is as

The relationship between ego self and

Greater awareness.
